MABDR 5-Day Loop from Bill Smith's - v18 (Night 1 at Fort Hill Motel, Petersburg WV, dinner at Cheetah B's)
v18 (Oct 9, 2026): Added Cheetah B's dinner waypoint in Petersburg. v17 notes: Night 1 moved from Yokum's Vacationland (cancelled) to Fort Hill Motel in Petersburg WV. Day 1 now ends in Petersburg (159.5 mi) and Day 2 starts there (193.5 mi) and covers the old last 23.5 mi of Day 1. Yokum's and Front Porch waypoints removed. Motel position is approximate. v16 notes: Added Day 4 alternates for the lunch-stop decision: the default Day 4 track is the short route (keeps Reddish Knob, paved descent), plus an OPTIONAL dirt alternate from the summit to 257 Grocery (21.7 mi) and an OPTIONAL Hone Quarry Road out-and-back spur (5.4 mi one way). All three alternates are built from OpenStreetMap data and are unverified for legality, surface, and closures. v15 notes: Day 4 now ends at Emma's house in the Haywood VA area (private home, approximate location) and Day 5 starts there. Elkton to Emma's house was routed with OSRM over US-33 and Swift Run Gap (estimate, not field-verified). Added an OPTIONAL EXPERT track (14.1 mi, Alleghany/Rockbridge VA) imported from the Garmin PA-HOOCHEE file, with its hazard waypoints, not connected to Day 4 and unverified. Track lengths: Day1=182.8mi, Day2=169.9mi, Day3=135.3mi, Day4=254.7mi, Day5=136.7mi. The earlier Country View Lodging waypoint was removed.
